About Us

Inventor

As a working mother of two, Lois Whittaker, the inventor of Cushie PushieTM was nursing her second child and thought there must be an easier way to breastfeed her son.  Being a busy mom, multitasking occurs even while nursing.  Answering the phone, reading to an older sibling, or just getting a chance to eat are all daily challenges for a breastfeeding mom.  Instead of using both hands and constantly readjusting her breast to keep it in the correct position, Lois thought there had to be a better way.  After many hours trying to come up with the right size and shape, she developed the Cushie Pushie breast support pillow.  With a goal to make breastfeeding easier for new as well as experience moms, Cushie Pushie's aims to provide a quality product for a reasonable cost.  E-mail Lois at lois@cushiepushie.com if you have any questions about the product.

With an MBA and 15 years of business experience, including marketing, communication, and web development, Lois was a founding member of Real Working Mom, a site to provide support to working moms.  Volunteering is also important to Lois and she finds time to volunteer with Friends of Heroes National Light The Night Team to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  She was instrumental in the development of the team in 2004, while serving as National Team Captain, and currently serves as the team's Marketing Director.
